How to Use AI: The Operator Deck

Learn to steer AI and you make things that stop people mid-scroll. Everyone else is getting the average answer. Here is how you stop being everyone else.

    You are not behind

The people making magic with AI are not smarter than you. They learned one thing, and you are about to steal it. This whole deck is that one thing, cut into pieces small enough to pocket.

  2. 02

It is a tool, not a buddy

It is not your friend, not a genius, not alive. It is a wood-felling axe. Your words decide which tree, where you cut, and where it falls. Treat it like a pal and you get small talk. Treat it like a tool and you get results.

  3. 03

    AI hands everyone the median

Ask a lazy question, get the beige, focus-grouped answer it feeds a million other people. The magic was never in the tool. It is in whether you aim it.

  4. 04

    Stop asking. Start directing

You are not a user typing a search. You are a director giving orders. The second you talk to it like it works for you, it starts to.

  5. 05

    Vague in, garbage out

"Write me a caption" gets you cardboard. The detail you leave out is the detail it invents. Specific is the whole game.

Write 3 punchy Instagram captions for [describe your exact photo], casual and funny, one line each.
  6. 06

Give it a role and a shape

Tell it who to be and what shape you want the answer in, before you ask. That one move beats any prompt-engineering course you will ever be sold.

You are a [blunt expert]. Give me [what you want] as [a table / a short email / 3 bullets]. Here is what you know: [paste your details].
  7. 07

The first answer is a warm-up

The first draft is the AI clearing its throat. Quit there and you keep the throat-clearing. Say "make it better and tell me what you changed" and watch it climb.

  8. 08

    One lever at a time

If it is close, do not start over. Change ONE thing - shorter, funnier, more formal - and you learn what actually moved it. Change five and you learn nothing and burn your day.

  9. 09

It lies with a straight face

It will hand you a fake fact, a fake quote, a fake law, sounding one hundred percent sure. Anything that matters, make it work only from what you paste.

Only answer from the text I paste below. If it is not in there, say you do not know: [paste].
  10. 10

    Context is the cheat code

It cannot read your mind, your brand, or your situation. Paste the mess - the email thread, the notes, the vibe. The more it knows, the less it makes up.

  11. 11

Chain it, do not dump it

Do not ask for the whole mountain at once. "First outline it. Then we write each part." Big asks get lazy answers. Steps get sharp ones.

  12. 12

    Steal the winners

When it nails something, save that exact prompt. Your growing stack of what-worked is worth more than any course. Winners repeat - start the folder today.

  13. 13

    Now go make something

Fill in the template for one real thing you need right now, and send it twice - once, then with a single change. That jolt is you becoming the operator. The rest is reps.

You are a [role]. Your task is to [what you want]. Give it to me as [format]. Here is what you need: [paste]. If anything is unclear, ask me first.
