Words are the whole point
Most image models turn text into alphabet soup. Ideogram is the one that actually spells. When your image lives or dies on readable words - a logo, a poster, a sign - this is the tool you reach for.

Put the words in quotes
Do not describe the text. Type it. Wrap the exact letters in quotes so the model renders those, not its own guess. Whatever sits inside the quotes is what lands on the canvas.

A few words, not a paragraph
Short text renders crisp. Cram in a full sentence and the letters melt into mush. Say the one line that matters and cut the rest. If you truly need a paragraph, you need a design tool, not a generator.

Tell it where the words go
Top, centered, on the sign, across the bottom - placement is not automatic. Leave it out and the model decides for you. Direct the layout like you are art-directing a shoot.

Pick the shape before the picture
A poster is tall. A logo is square. A banner is wide. Set the aspect ratio for the medium first, because a design built for the wrong shape gets cropped into garbage. The frame comes before the art.

The picture still needs a prompt
Readable text does not mean you skip everything else. It is still an image model underneath. Describe the subject, the style, the mood, the color - the same craft as any generation. The words are the star, but they need a stage.

A typo in is a typo out
The model spells exactly what you type. Misspell it in the prompt and you misspell it on the poster, in high resolution. Read your quoted text twice before you hit generate. It will not catch your mistake - it will render it.

Fix the near-miss, don't reroll
When it is ninety percent there with one broken letter, do not throw it out and start clean. Nudge the prompt and regenerate. Rerolling from scratch gambles away the good version you already earned.

Say logo, not scene
A clean logo needs empty space around it. Ask for a rich scene and you get a rich scene with words buried in it. Say logo, plain background, simple. The emptiness is the design.

Kill the auto-expander when you know
The prompt-enhancer feature - the name varies, check the app - rewrites your words to sound fancier. A lifesaver when you are lost, a thief when you are not. Once you know what you want, switch it off and keep the wheel.

The lettering has a vibe too
Bold and blocky, hand-painted, chrome, vintage serif - the style of the letters is yours to name. Say it. Plain 'text' gives you the model's default; a described style gives you your look.

Small previews lie
A thumbnail hides broken letters. Text that looks flawless at postage-stamp size can fall apart at full resolution. Open it big before you call it done - the flaws live in the details you cannot see small.

It is a tool, not an artist
The model has no taste. You do. It renders; you decide what is worth rendering. Every clean poster that comes out of it is a prompt someone directed on purpose. Be that operator, not a slot-machine puller.
