The questions never change
You think you are walking into the unknown. You are not. It is the same 8 questions every time: tell me about yourself, why us, a conflict, a failure, a strength, a weakness, a hard project, why you left. Eight. That is the whole level.
List the 8 for the exact role you want. Ask your AI: 'What version of these 8 questions would a [role] interviewer ask?' Save the list - that is your map. - 02
AI is the axe, not the buddy
Stop chatting with it for comfort. AI is a wood-felling axe - it drills you, it does not hug you. It quizzes, it pushes back, it exposes the weak answer. You swing it. You do the reps. You are the operator.
Tell it now: 'You are my interview coach. Be blunt. Rate every answer 1 to 10 and tell me exactly why.' No praise. Just cuts. - 03

Scout their real pain
The job post is marketing. The real pain sits underneath it - the team is drowning, the last hire flamed out, the number is red. Find it, and walk in already solving it.
Paste the job description and ask: 'What is the real problem this team is hiring to fix? What keeps this manager up at night?' Build every answer around that. - 05
Script the first 30 seconds
You do not freeze in the middle. You freeze at the start - 'tell me about yourself' and your mind goes white. So write those 30 seconds word for word. Nail the open and the whole room settles.
Draft your opening cold. Ask AI: 'Tighten this to 30 seconds, present tense, ending on why I fit this exact role.' Memorize it. Say it out loud 5 times. - 06
Every story runs on STAR
Behavioral questions are not chit-chat - they want proof. Situation, Task, Action, Result. Set the scene, state your job, show the move, land the number. Ramble and you lose them.
Take your best win. Ask AI to force it into STAR under 90 seconds and to demand a real Result number. No number, no story. - 07
Drill the eight cold
Reading an answer is not knowing it. You know it when it comes out clean under pressure, no notes. So drill. Have AI fire the 8 at random until every one lands without a flinch.
Say: 'Quiz me on the 8 core questions in random order, one at a time. Wait for my answer, score it, then hit the next.' Go until you stop stalling. - 08
Give a real weakness
'I work too hard' is a lie and they know it. It reads as scared. Name a real weakness and the real fix you are running right now. Honesty with a plan beats a polished dodge every time.
Ask AI: 'Here is a real weakness of mine. Pair it with a concrete fix I am already doing - no humblebrag.' Then practice saying it flat. - 09
Never fake the resume
Do not invent experience you do not have. One sharp follow-up or a single reference call unravels it, and a burned reputation follows you for years. Sell what is real, and sell it hard. Real is enough.

Interrogate them back
'Any questions for us?' is not the exit - it is the last test. Weak candidates ask about perks. Strong ones ask about the problem, the team, the bar. Sharp questions say you already work here in your head.

Never say the number first
Whoever names salary first sets the anchor - and it is usually you, too low. Have a plan. Deflect once, make them show their range, then negotiate from the top of it, not the bottom.
