Get the Voice You Actually Want

Most people type "male vocals" and get robot karaoke - you're going to design a singer with real character, feeling, and studio polish.

    Pick the song's vibe

    Every voice needs a room to sing in.

    Pick a genre and a feeling - like 'sad pop', 'angry rock', or 'chill lofi'.

    Keep it to a few words. This is the song your voice will ride.

    Choose the voice TYPE

    A voice has a body. Is it high or low? Rough or smooth? Boy, girl, or robot?

    This is the CHARACTER - the type of singer.

    Try something like 'raspy male tenor', 'soft female alto', or 'gritty deep growl'.

    Choose the DELIVERY

    The same voice can whisper or scream. That is the DELIVERY - how they sing it.

    Think about the emotion and the energy.

    Try 'emotional and breathy', 'confident and punchy', or 'sad, almost crying'.

    Add the studio EFFECTS

    Now the studio magic - the EFFECTS. This is the mic and the space around the voice.

    'Dry close-mic' sounds right in your ear. 'Big hall reverb' sounds huge and far away.

    Try 'dry close-mic', 'warm vintage tape', or 'dreamy echo'.

    Pick a DECADE

    Here is the secret pro lever most people skip: the ERA.

    A voice from the 1950s sounds nothing like a voice from 2024.

    Pick a decade - like '1970s', '1990s', or '2020s'. It changes everything.

    Glue it into ONE voice

    Time to build your singer. Look up at your last four answers.

    Glue them into one line: character, then delivery, then effects.

    Example: 'raspy male tenor, emotional and breathy, dry close-mic'.

    This one line is your signature voice. Write yours.

    A hook is the catchy line people sing back - the part that sticks in your head.

    Write ONE short line for your singer to belt out.

    Keep it simple and repeatable, like 'I'm not coming home tonight'.
